AIMS was happy to attend the first in-person IBC in years! Also back was the IP Showcase, presented by AIMS, the Audio Engineering Society (AES), Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), European Broadcasting Union (EBU), SMPTE®️, and the Video Services Forum (VSF). The live, 30-minute presentations took place throughout the course of the show, but if you missed the chance to see them, we are here to help! The videos will soon be available on the AIMS website.
Continuing the trade show circuit, AIMS attended the AES New York show, booth 550, co-located at the Javits Center with NAB Show New York, on October 19 and 20. AIMS was also a sponsor of the IP Pavilion, which was conveniently located at the intersection between where AES and NAB met, allowing attendees of both shows to enter where they were greeted with focused workshops, demonstrations, and exhibition stations from industry experts and leaders!
Beyond being a sponsor for the IP Pavilion, AIMS continuously supports the adoption of media over IP across both the Pro AV and broadcast industries through its vendor solutions page, featuring products designed to ease the transition from SDI to IP. These products include master control and digital signage from Evertz, cameras and OEM solutions from intoPIX, audio processing from Calrec Audio, infrastructure from Meinberg, and many others that deliver essential functionality for broadcasters and other organizations shifting to IP.
AVNetwork published an article by Andrew Starks, AIMS Marketing Work Group Chair, Director of Product Management at MACNICA, about the promise of IPMX changing everything about Pro AV. Starks said that IPMX will achieve this by “meeting the market requirements of multi-vendor interoperability.”
Installation Magazine has also recently published an article, listing AIMS as one of the organizations championing IPMX. The article included commentary from Samuel Recine, vice-president of AV/IT Group, Americas & Asia Pacific at Matrox, and pro AV working group chair at AIMS. Recine pointed out that the support and conversations around IPMX are building momentum and is confident in the awareness and growth of IPMX.
