Audio metadata, particularly dynamic, time varying audio metadata, is now a requirement for many audio applications. As AoIP systems use IP connections, many possibilities for metadata transport exist, however standards in many areas are lacking which can lead to multiple solutions and market fragmentation. This session will discuss current and emerging IP based audio metadata transport standards that support existing AoIP standards and allow interoperability between AoIP systems and devices. Standards relevant to the SMPTE ST 2110 suite and AES70 will be covered.
