ST 2110 Testing Fundamentals

The SMPTE ST 2110 test plan developed for the JT-NM Tested Program is the ideal starting point for developing a validation test plan for new and existing equipment in a facility. This presentation begins with a brief description of the JT-NM Tested Program and describes the different areas of focus. It will examine some of the challenges to lab deployment when trying to reproduce these tests. The presentation will then cover some of the network configurations and various tools that are required to successfully execute all of the tests in the JT-NM SMPTE ST 2110 test plan. We will also identify and examine some of the difficulties one may encounter when installing and configuring some of these tools based on our experience preparing for testing events.
