Now IP is fully embedded in both facilities and wide-area connectivity, allowing effective and secure collaboration between locations has become the next key part of the realization of the full flexibility and benefit of this technology. Using two real-world deployment examples, this presentation will look at the opportunities and challenges of federating locations. It will address the potentially conflicting requirements of security and autonomy alongside the desire for ‘plug and play’ collaboration.
