The Audio-over-IP Technology Pavilion is a significant new initiative created by the AES in partnership with the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS). The pavilion will promote professional IP media networking as well as providing the latest information about this rapidly developing field through practical demonstrations and an extensive presentation program. This session will provide an introduction to the various aspects of the pavilion including the AIMS demonstration system, exhibitors’ Pods and the AoIP Presentation Theater.
Besides demonstrating IP interoperability, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) fitted an IP production room at the IP Showcase
At the recently concluded 2018 NAB Show, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) — alongside partners Audio Engineering Society (AES), Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), European Broadcasting Union (EBU), IABM, National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and Video Services Forum (VSF) — highlighted progress in the journey towards IP interoperability at its IP Showcase.

Las Vegas, NV (April 23, 2018)—Taking over all three halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, the NAB Show is a massive undertaking for exhibitors and attendees alike, but while there is gear to check out as far as the eye can see, education plays a strong role in the show, too. Underlining that fact, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) used this year’s NAB Show to host its IP Showcase on the show floor in the Central Hall.
AIMS Membership Nears The Century Mark
BOTHELL, WA.—Membership in the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) has climbed to 96 companies following the alliance’s merger with the Media Networking Alliance (MNA) late last year, AIMS announced today.
“Like AIMS, MNA members were committed to adopting a standards-based approach to interoperability. In their case, it was interoperability between various IP-based audio networks via the use of AES67, and they made tremendous strides toward that goal,” said Michael Cronk, AIMS chairman of the board.
