AIMS, AMWA, and the VSF Promote More Sustainable Travel to IBC With Sponsorship of the Flint Green Line.
BOTHELL, Wash. — Aug. 13, 2025 — The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), and the Video Services Forum (VSF) today announced the full IP Showcase on the Water presentation schedule taking place during IBC2025. The free, one-day event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, on canal cruise boats launching from Strandzuid at the RAI in Amsterdam. Complimentary registration is now open to reserve a seat for any of the six one-hour cruises. Each cruise will accommodate up to 35 attendees and feature two 20-minute sessions from industry experts, for a total of 12 presentations on a wide range of IP-related topics. In addition, the IP Showcase partners are sponsoring the Flint Green Line — an industry initiative aimed at promoting more sustainable travel to IBC.
The IP Showcase is committed to educating attendees at major industry events on the business and creative potential of IP media solutions. This year, presentations will be led by top speakers from Appear, Alpha, NETGEAR, DirectOut, Nextera Video, Simplexity, Matrox Video, intoPIX, Lawo, Dolby Laboratories, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), and Grass Valley. The IP Showcase on the Water session topics include:
- Session 1 – Hybrid Live Production Workflows and Real-World ST 2110 Deployments
- Session 2 – IP Infrastructure for IPMX and ST 2110 Networks and PKI and TLS in IPMX and NMOS
- Session 3 – NMOS-Based Systems and the Evolution of NMOS for ST 2110 and IPMX
- Session 4 – Interoperability and Video Profiles and Codec Options in IPMX
- Session 5 – Aligning Flows and Channels and Real-World Dynamic Video and Audio Metadata Deployments
- Session 6 – The Dynamic Media Facility and Media eXchange Layer (MXL)
“At IBC2025, the IP Showcase on the Water gives attendees a front-row seat to the evolution of IP media workflows,” said Andrew Starks, AIMS board member and director of product management at Macnica. “This year’s presentations highlight key trends shaping the future of our industry — from the growing impact of the dynamic media facility to the continued advancement of IPMX and NMOS. It’s an opportunity to see how open standards are delivering on their promise of greater interoperability, scalability, and long-term flexibility across broadcast and Pro AV environments.”
Boats will be departing on the hour from Strandzuid, located near RAI Amsterdam at Europaplein 22, 1078 GZ Amsterdam. The current IP Showcase on the Water presentation schedule is available online here. Attendees can register for free here.
In addition to presenting the IP Showcase on the Water, AIMS, AMWA, and the VSF are sponsoring the Flint Green Line to IBC2025. Setting out from London’s St. Pancras Station on Thursday, Sept. 11, the Green Line offers IBC attendees a low-carbon direct route to Amsterdam, as well as an afternoon of networking with fellow industry professionals — all while honoring a commitment to creating a more sustainable media and entertainment industry.
“Sustainability has become a defining priority across the media industry, and initiatives like the Flint Green Line are helping move that conversation forward,” added Starks. “We’re proud to sponsor the Green Line because it sets the right tone — thoughtful, creative, and action-oriented. It’s an engaging way to highlight the steps our industry can take to reduce its environmental impact, and it’s already sparked meaningful discussions within our group about how we can contribute to that shift in both the broadcast and Pro AV spaces.”
Cobalt Digital will highlight an array of products that range from a new audio monitor to a collection of IPMX-compliant solutions at InfoComm 2025.

Cobalt Digital, a designer and manufacturer of signal processing products, and a founding partner in the openGear initiative is heading to BroadcastAsia 2025 with an array of products ranging from a new audio monitor added to its Aria line to a collection of IPMX-compliant solutions.
BOTHELL, Wash. — May 22, 2025 — The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) today announced that the organization will be returning to InfoComm 2025, taking place June 7-13 in Orlando, Florida. In booth 3089, AIMS will highlight the latest developments to Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX™) — a set of open standards-based protocols designed to ensure interoperability for AV-over-IP systems. In addition, AIMS members — including intoPIX, Cobalt Digital, Matrox Video, Macnica, Nextera Video, Meinberg USA Inc., Megapixel, and EvertzAV — will host live demonstrations of IPMX-based systems in kiosks located throughout the booth.
“The progress IPMX has made over the last year is extraordinary – not just in technical development, but in real interoperability across vendors,” said Andrew Starks, AIMS board member and director of product management at Macnica. “At InfoComm 2025, we’re excited to show the industry that IPMX is no longer a vision for the future — it’s on the cusp of market readiness, with tested, deployable technology built on open standards. This is a critical step for Pro AV’s transition to IP, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to show it off at the industry’s biggest event of the year.”
This year’s InfoComm comes on the heels of the IPMX Tested Event 2025, a multi-vendor interoperability milestone held at EvertzAV in Burbank, California. The event brought together 12 companies to validate system behavior, video, and audio compatibility across IPMX profiles – marking a significant leap toward finalized specs and widespread industry adoptions. AIMS is now preparing publicly available self-test procedures and a marketing label system to help manufacturers clearly indicate which IPMX profiles their products support.
In addition to booth activities, AIMS will also contribute to InfoComm’s education program. Sam Recine, AIMS board member and vice-president strategic partnerships at Matrox Video, will present the session “Compatibility in IP-Based Media Systems Across Product Classes” on Wednesday, June 11, from 4–5 p.m. in meeting room W312C. Earlier that day in room W312C, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., he will also join Panasonic’s Mike Bergeron and Peyton Thomas for the panel “Designing a Network for Live Video to Support Broadcast Quality Production in a Workplace Context.”
In this exclusive interview, Matrox Video executive Catherine Koutsaris explains the latest trends in AV-over-IP technology. Those, of course, include IPMX, which is a standard for the transport and control of compressed and uncompressed video and audio.
