Applying NMOS to Non-ST 2110 Environments

NMOS provides many well thought-out and useful capabilities that make the entire ST 2110 ecosystem more complete. Can we apply any of that good work to non-ST 2110 environments? We'll explore that very topic. NMOS' Interface Specifications are the result of a great deal of input and effort from the best and brightest in our industry. They fill a critical gap in SMPTE's ST 2110 suite of standards, providing capabilities critical to operations. From IS-04, providing discovery and registration, IS-05 handling device connection management, and IS-10 providing authorization, just to name a few, these specifications contain excellent means of addressing challenges that aren't necessarily unique to ST 2110 environments.
